Accessibility statement
Last updated 19 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, screen reader, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. Our working standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How the site is built
- Pages are sent as ready-made HTML, so content and navigation work without JavaScript.
- One main heading per page, with headings in order, and landmarks for header, navigation, main content and footer.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Interactive elements are built to work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Text and interface colours were chosen for contrast of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Form fields have visible labels. Errors are described in words, linked to the field and announced to screen readers.
- Animation is limited and stops when your device asks for reduced motion. Nothing flashes.
- Illustrations have text descriptions, and purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- The layer filters use native radio buttons, so they work with standard keyboard and screen-reader controls.
What we haven’t done yet
The site hasn’t had an independent accessibility audit, and we haven’t yet finished a full review of our own. We’ll update this page once that’s done.
Known limitations
- Some wide tables scroll sideways on small screens.
- Diagrams and drawings of interfaces are explained in the text around them, so nothing is conveyed by an image alone.
